Demi Lovato Cast Accessorized for Night Out

Demi Lovato has made the most of her foot injury during a night out this week.

The "X-Factor" mentor broke her foot earlier this month after taking a fall.

"Never, ever, ever, EVER let your roommate clean your hardwood floors with Pledge… Fibula schmibula," the singer posted to Twitter after the fall, along with a photo of herself in a cast.

"This sucks," Lovato later added.

On Wednesday, the "Give Your Heart A Break" singer attended the opening of Topshop at Los Angeles' the Grove, according to Omg! Yahoo.

It was the first public outing Lovato had taken since her injury. Despite the bulky cast and crutches, the 20-year-old appeared fresh-faced in a black leather coat and managed to transform her debilitation into a fashion statement.

During the event, Lovato performed her new single "Heart Attack." The song will drop next month.

The "Skyscraper" singer is well known for her honesty and has often revealed personal struggles with anorexia and self-medicating. She has reportedly been staying at a sober living facility in L.A. for one year now, according to People magazine.

Lovato has remained committed to a healthy lifestyle and chose to move into the sober facility as opposed to living on her own.

"Two years ago, I watched the ball drop on TV in rehab and cried my eyes out," Lovato tweeted on New Year's Eve. "Tonight I'm on a beach with my closest, most loyal friends sipping coffee and sharing how beautiful life is and how far we've come."

"Recovery is a beautiful thing friends… Life is good. God is great," Lovato added.

Moreover, Lovato has dished about how her position on "X-Factor."

"I'm a Southern girl who speaks her mind," said the Texas native. "If you're going to dish it, you might as well be able to take it."

Lovato recently revealed that she would "love to" return to the reality television series this year.

"Obviously, if they asked for me to come back, I'd say yes," she said, according to Extra TV.
