Demi Lovato News: Singer Fights and Prays for Cyber Bullies
Demi Lovato, who has been the target of bullies, has come out against cyber bullies and has offered a prayer for those who seem to be consumed in hate.
The young singer took to Twitter to express her distain of those who would intimidate and belittle anyone on the internet.
"It really surprises me the hateful things people say on the internet," Lovato wrote on Twitter. "After all the awareness of cyber-bullying... I mean wow. So sad."

Later in the series of tweets Lovato takes sympathy and offers cyber bullies a prayer. "Praying for all the people in the world who feel it's okay to bully people over the internet," she tweets,
She continued: "Because if you are one of those people, then you must have had something really terrible happen to your childhood or you're really sick in the head. Must suck to be born without a heart."
Lovato has had a history of bullying. When her documentary "Demi Lovato: Stay Strong," aired on MTV she admitted that she was the target of cyber-bullies that led her to hurt herself.
Lovato refers to "comments from strangers online, saying 'This girl looks horrible, she looks fat.'" It was the continued negative comments that led to her dealings with eating disorders and cutting.
Today, Lovato is recovering and wants to help other teens going through hard times. Demi Lovato has teamed up with other celebrities to promote a new documentary about the intense bullying many children and teens face. As of now the movie has an "R" rating.
Katy Butler, a Michigan high school student who has been the target of bullies started a petition at Change.org in an effort to have the Motion Picture Association of America change the R rating of the movie to PG-13.
Lovato took to Twitter to spread the word: "Please help repeal the R rating on 'BULLY.' EVERYONE should be able to see it. Sign the petition."
So far the petition has drawn more than 280,000 signatures.
