Demi Lovato's Father Dies: Star Speaks Out on Twitter
Pop singer Demi Lovato's father died over the weekend and she is now speaking about it.
"I feel so humbled to have had so much support from my fans, friends, family and complete strangers. God bless you all, thank you so much," she said on Twitter.
The news was first made public after Demi's sister, Dallas, announced it on her Twitter.

"Rest in peace daddy I love you," she wrote on her Twitter regarding her father Patrick.
He has been fighting with cancer for a number of years, Us Weekly reported.
"The last time I talked to him was two years ago," she said in an interview with the Daily News in 2009. "You try to have faith in somebody, even when you're the last person that believes in him. But when somebody lets you down after you've been the only one there for them, and so many times, you don't know what else to do."
At the time Lovato was battling her own personal demons with weight, drug abuse, and drinking.
"I had to cut off all connection. It was hurting me too much," she told the Daily News.
On the music front, Lovato has named, "Made In the USA," off of her album Demi as her next single.
The single will hit the radio on June 27, and she will be on "Good Morning America" for the Summer Concert series, reported Billboard.
A music video is set for release shortly, and Lovato reportedly co-directed the clip.
The 21-year-old's first single on the album was "Heart Attack." It has steadily gone down in the charts every week, going from 15 down to 26 in the last two weeks, but originally entered at No. 3 last month.
The single was Lovato's second top 10 hit on the Hot 100 chart and second biggest seller of her career with 1.5 million downloads.
"With my album this time, I wanted to go into it keeping in mind that I want to listen to stuff on the radio that I can relate to," Lovato told Billboard last month. "I think the reason why artists like Adele and Taylor Swift are so relatable is because they talk about their experiences and pour it out in their songs. There's a lot more to their music than just partying and going out."
