Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher Fight Over $10 Million Prolonging Divorce
Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are reportedly embroiled in a battle over $10 million, with a report claiming the exes are unable to agree on a divorce settlement amount.
In November 2011, Moore confirmed she had separated from Kutcher following reports of an affair and in December 2012, more than one year later, Kutcher, 34, filed for divorce. Settlement negotiations have been ongoing for over one year.
"Ashton and Demi are still not divorced, and no settlement has been agreed, even though they have been in negotiations for over a year," a source told
The New York Post.
"Ashton made a lot of money after they married, but he doesn't believe he owes her as much as she is asking for," the source explained.
Moore, 50, is said to be intent on getting an estimated 50 percent share in one of Kutcher's many investments. The "Two And A Half Men" star reportedly invested in a tech industry start-up in 2010 one year prior to their split, and his share is valued at approximately $20 million.
"Ashton made a lot of money after marrying Demi -- a lot more than she made -- but despite him becoming just as famous through her, he believes he doesn't owe her that much," a source said "[Moore] has had enough."
Kutcher, who reportedly earned $24 million in 2012 from the hit CBS sitcom, was married to the mother of three for six years. He has since moved on with actress Mila Kunis and recently opened up about the lessons he has learned stemming from his ongoing divorce.
"You know, I've learned the hard way how valuable privacy is and I've learned that there are a lot of things in your life that really benefit from being private," Kutcher told Elle magazine.
"And relationships are one of them. And I am going to do everything in my power to have this relationship be private," he added.
