Richards and Sheen were married for four years until their divorce in 2006. They share two daughters, Sam and Lola. Their divorce resulted in Richards seeking a restraining order against Sheen, but the relationship between the exes seems to have improved vastly.

A frequent Twitter user, Richards shared that she and Sheen not only work together but spend free time with their children together.

"Good morning," wrote Richards on her Twitter account Friday. "Happy its Friday… @CharlieSheen planned fun weekend w/ the kids and I."

Later, Sheen replied to Richards on Twitter, posting, "Will be great to all be together!"

"Anger Management" is not the first project related to Sheen that has offered Richards a role. Last year, the actress was offered $100,000 to portray Sheen's ex-girlfriend at the funeral of his character on "Two and a Half Men," which she turned down.

In addition to her guest appearance on "Anger," Richards appeared as a guest on NBC's television series "30 Rock." The actress will also appear Lifetime's upcoming remake of the film "Blue Lagoon."

Sheen, 46, is keeping things a family affair on the television series. The actor recently announced that his real-life father, Martin Sheen, will also appear on the show portraying his onscreen father.

"Anger Management" is loosely based on film of the same title and follows Sheen as Charlie Goodson, a former professional baseball player with emotional problems.

Selma Blair stars alongside Sheen as his love interest and fellow anger management therapist.

The show is set to premiere on FX June 28.
