Denver Broncos NFL Trade Rumors: Broncos Interested in Bringing Back DeMarcus Ware

DeMarcus Ware didn't really have a great season with the Denver Broncos last year. He played a career-low 10 games and he wasn't that productive either when he played. He has struggled with health issues in the past two seasons, but he's a proven pass rusher and the Broncos want him back.

According to NFL.com's Jane Slater, Ware met with Broncos general manager John Elway and head coach Vance Joseph earlier this week, and the team has expressed interest in re-signing him, subject to negotiations, of course. However, Mikie Klis of 9News said he's going to test the free agent market first before he makes any decision.

Ware is coming off a back surgery, but he has been given a clean bill of health by the doctors. The results he received from a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) last week reportedly looks good, according to Slater.

The Broncos aren't the only team interested in Ware, though. Several reports say the Dallas Cowboys are also interested in a reunion with their former outside linebacker and many observers believe they are the frontrunners for his signature.

"The Denver Broncos have already expressed interest in re-signing Ware, but it appears he's also not adverse to packing up and heading back to the Cowboys. The issue is Ware won't necessarily be inexpensive, which becomes the true crux of the consideration when it comes to the Cowboys," CBS Sports' Patrik Walker said in his report.

"A discount could be in play, be it health or hometown, and either would work in the Cowboys' favor," he continued.

The Cowboys released Ware after he refused to take a pay cut in 2014 and he ended up signing with the Broncos. Ware helped the Broncos win the Super Bowl in 2015 and he has continued to provide veteran leadership for a solid pass-rushing unit.

Will Ware re-sign with the Broncos or does he prefer a return to Dallas?
