Denver Broncos vs Oakland Raiders Live Stream (CBS): Watch NFL Football 2017 Online
The Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders will meet on Sunday in a big Week 4 match up for the NFL 2017 regular season. Today's game has a scheduled start time of 4.25 p.m. ET and takes place at Sports Authority Field in Denver. The game can be watched on TV on the CBS network, or online through live stream (details below).
Both teams stand at a crossroads ahead of this game today; a win would consolidate their work over recent weeks and move them to a place where they can be satisfied with a strong start to the season. However, a loss would give the overwhelming feeling of disappointment at a very average start to the season.
The Broncos and Raiders are both on 2-1 coming into the game, meaning one will leave with a third win from the first month of the season, where as the other will drop to a fairly unflattering 2-2.
Oakland fans will remember how the Raiders lost to the Broncos in Week 17 of last season's campaign; a result that ultimately cost them the AFC West division title. That meant they dropped into the Wild Card round of the Playoffs, where they were immediately eliminated 27-14 to the Houston Texans.
The Raiders would love nothing than getting some revenge for that, however, the Broncos will be the favorites to claim the win here in front of their home fans at Sports Authority Field.
The Broncos must eliminate turnovers if they are to win today; they have suffered six turnovers in the opening three games, and giving the ball away cheaply always heaps unwanted pressure on the team.
Oakland will try to let loose with their running game, and hope that playmakers Derek Carr, Amari Cooper, and Michael Crabtree can make the impact they need to claim a road win today.
Earlier this week, the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears got Week 4 off to a start on NFL Thursday Night Football. However, the contest was not as competitive as most neutrals would have liked, and the Packers eased to a comfortable 35-14 victory.
Packers' quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, threw for four touchdown passes, with two finding Jordy Nelson for touchdowns.
The result moved the Packer to 3-1, which leaves them in a solid position as they look to consolidate their good start to the season over the coming month and ensure they get one hand on a postseason spot as soon as possible.
However, for the Bears the season is quickly slipping away from them, and their third loss of the season sees them drop to 1-3, and it now seems a long way back for them to even get to a level record.
The Packers were in front right from the start in Thursday's game, and quickly jumped out to a 14-0 lead following Aaron Rodgers leading them to an opening drive touchdown.
There was a 45 minute delay in the game due to a lightning strike, however, not even that could shock the Bears into life, and they limply gave up the game to a far superior side.
One major area that the Bears must fix asap is Mike Glennon; things are simply not working. Glennon gave up four turnovers on the night, with two interceptions and two lost fumbles. That simply isn't good enough and there's little hope for the Bears to get a result when they give the ball away so consistently for free. Those four turnovers directly led to 21 of the Packers' points, which shows how costly each was. Now through the opening four games of the season, Glennon has given up eight turnovers; something must be done.
