Deongelo Holmes Arrested: DUI Child Endangerment Among 7 Charges
Deongelo Holmes, aka D-Roc, of the Ying Yang Twins has been arrested June 1 for an astonishing seven separate offences. Holmes was stopped by Gwinnett County police and charged on various accounts, including driving while under the influence.
Holmes is likely to be punished strongly for his offenses, as when he was pulled over and found to be DUI he had two of his young children in the car with him. His kids are just 2 months and 3 years old.
According to reports Holmes was pulled over by officers when they saw his SUV weaving back and forth in the road numerous times. Officer Jake Smith allegedly came to Holmes' window expecting to smell alcohol on his breath, but was surprised to smell both alcohol and marijuana coming from the car.
The officer then proceeded to check the vehicle and found marijuana, Xanex, and the two young children in the rear – they were at least strapped in their car seats at the time.
According to Gwinnett County Detention Center the charges he is faced with are: Two counts of DUI child endangerment, one count each of DUI, possession of drug-related objects, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and improper/erratic lane change.
Deongelo Holmes and Kaine Jackson form the Ying Yang Twins, who came to prominence with their hit party single "Salt Shaker."
Holmes was reportedly set bond of $13,500 and released later that day.
