'Desperate Housewives' Revival: Pregnant Eva Longoria Talks Series Comeback

A pregnant Eva Longoria reveals that she's open for a "Desperate Housewives" revival. Before fans get excited, however, the actress talks about the possibility of the show coming back on the air.

Longoria tells NewBeauty in an exclusive interview that she misses being on the set of "Desperate Housewives." She also misses playing her character, Gaby. As much as she wants the revival to happen, the decision to move forward is not entirely up to her.

"Our creator [Marc Cherry] has said many times he wouldn't bring it back," Longoria said. "Plus, we're all so busy. Felicity [Huffman] is always off doing some Emmy award-winning show," the pregnant star declared, adding, "I'm busy with my projects. I don't know if it will ever happen, but I'm all for the idea!"

"Desperate Housewives" graced television for six seasons from 2004 to 2012. Apart from Longoria and Huffman, Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross also starred on the ABC hit drama.

It's not the first time Longoria expressed returning to the "Desperate Housewives" set as she also opened up about it on Entertainment Tonight last May. Longoria shared that she won't need any convincing about doing the revival. All she needs is for Cherry to say they'll do it again and she'll be there.

Meanwhile, Longoria and her husband José Antonio "Pepe" Bastón announced this week that they are expecting their first child together. The couple, who married in 2016, is having a son.

Bastón isn't a first-time dad as he has three other kids with his ex-wife. Longoria revealed that becoming a stepmom to his children made her hope they could also have babies together.

The actress originally did not want any children. She thought her life was full and complete when she married Bastón at 40. Her stepkids changed her perception of becoming a mom.

The couple's reps said that Longoria is already four months pregnant this December.
