Despite Media Frenzy, Beiber Tops Twitter Trends
Despite recent allegations that he may have fathered a child, and the ensuing public relations disaster and media frenzy, teen idol Justin Bieber has won Best Pop Artist and Best Male at the 2011 MTV EMAs Sunday night in Dublin.
"It feels great. I'm so blessed," Bieber said. "I'm so glad to be back here and to have so many great fans. It's a great night.”
Flamboyantly fitted in an electric blue blazer and oversized black sunglasses, and accompanied by his Disney starlet girlfriend Selena Gomez, the singer’s appearance unabashedly made a statement: “I’m here to stay.”
His faithful fans poured out overwhelming support on Twitter.
“I love it when we all come together to support & being proud of Justin. he deserves those awards so much tonight. CONGRATSKIDRAUHL,” tweeted @iWetBiebersBed.
“I love this feeling, we all come together. No drama, no hate, just sharing our happiness and how proud we all are! ♥ CONGRATSKIDRAUHL,” gushed @biebersloveme.

On Wednesday, the 17-year-old Canadian singing sensation was slapped with a paternity suit and child support claims by Mariah Yeater, 20, filed in San Diego courts. Yeater alleges that he impregnated her last year after a tryst in a bathroom of the Staples Center.
Yeater gave birth to a son three months ago. Although 19 at the time, she could face statutory rape charges if her claims are true, since Bieber was a minor and was 16-years-old at the time.
