'Destiny 2' DLC: 'Curse of Osiris' Confirmed as Game First's Expansion After 'Leak'

"Destiny 2" is still less than a week old, but the internet is already abuzz about the post-launch and downloadable content (DLC) support it will get.

The first DLC coming to the hit game is called "Curse of Osiris" and its existence was teased after a listing on Xbox Store popped up without Bungie making an official announcement.

Marketing director Eric Osborne confirmed on Twitter that the "Destiny 2" DLC is indeed "real" and is in fact "not a leak." There is no word on the release date yet, but seeing that the game was released only a few days ago (the PC version is not coming until next month), players can agree it is too early for the DLC talk.

After all, many gamers are still finding their way through the game and are yet to reach the end of it. In any case, the confirmation of "Curse of Osiris" shows that fans will have something to look forward to after they complete the game.

Osborne also hinted — whether or not it was made in a light-hearted manner remains to be seen — that they are "open" to releasing it this year should he reach 49,000 followers on Twitter, which he already did.

He did not provide any more details with regards to the upcoming "Destiny 2" DLC although the Xbox Store listing reveals that it will introduce a new character in an exciting new journey "and more."

"Destiny 2 Expansion I: Curse of Osiris" continues your Guardian's journey with all-new story missions and adventures set in a new destination, Mercury. Journey through time and space to learn the secrets of Osiris, avert a dark future, and rebuild the ties between the legendary Warlock and his greatest student — Ikora Rey.

The listing promises that the "Curse of Osiris" DLC will give players the chance to explore the new location including a "mysterious" area in it called the "Infinite Forest."

Also, there will be new story missions and adventures where "Destiny 2" gamers can earn themed weapons, armor and gear. Players will also get to experience new cooperative activities and competitive multiplayer arenas.
