'Destiny 2' DLC Release Date, Update: Director Wants Fans' Help for Game's First Expansion

It looks like Bungie is now working diligently on the first downloadable content (DLC) pack for "Destiny 2" and the studio wants the opinion of gamers about it.

Game director Christopher Barrett took to Twitter to ask fans what they would like for the first post-launch content to add to the game, which was released just last month.

Barrett asked gamers what they would "most like to see" in the first "Destiny 2" DLC and they did not disappoint — sounding off with their own ideas that they have been pushing for the franchise for the longest time.

Many of them seem to like the idea of the Twitter user who suggested the addition of custom games as well as a spectator mode and ranked play for "Destiny 2" with some end game grind with "meaningful gear" thrown in there.

While gamers are one in saying that they want these features to be in the DLC, they also know that there is little possibility of them actually making it to the game considering they have been pitching them for a while.

However, many are still hopeful that Bungie will finally give in to their pleas and give them what they want this time since they have been asking for these additions for years now.

For now, of course, nothing is set in stone yet. What is known at the moment, at least based on a report by Kotaku from August, that the first "Destiny 2" DLC is called Curse of Osiris.

As the name suggests, it is a story that will focus on the titular exiled Warlock. It is believed that it will take fans back to Mercury, where the character's hideouts are located.

However, the "Destiny 2" DLC will add a never before seen new patrol location called the Infinite Forest for players to explore while also bringing back Lighthouse, one of the warlock's hideouts.

The first "Destiny 2" DLC is reportedly coming this December.
