'Destiny 2' News: Fans Can Look Forward to 'More Content Than Ever Before' Being Provided, Hints Activision CEO

Developers already creating new content for the game

Fans flocked to "Destiny 2" following its console release, and many PC players are getting in on the action too. At this point, a number of them have likely been able to see and experience much of what the game has to offer and are already wondering about what's next.

The good news for players is that there are plenty of new additions expected to be released for the game in the near future.

Speaking during a recent conference call for investors, Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg talked a little bit about the future plans for the game, DualShockers reported.

Hirshberg acknowledged that players were still looking for more content, and the CEO noted that "multiple triple-A teams" were already working on those additions.

In all likelihood, the "multiple triple A-teams" Hirshberg referred to are Vicarious Visions and High Moon Studios, developers the CEO named during an earlier interview with Gamesindustry.biz as ones who were going to be put to work creating post-launch content for "Destiny 2."

With other studios working together with Bungie to produce post-launch additions for the game, Hirshberg noted that players can expect to see "more content than ever before" released.

Developers already unveiled one of the big post-launch pieces coming to the game.

The "Curse of Osiris" expansion is expected to give players new storylines to unravel along with new weapons and pieces of armor to collect. New activities are also included in this first expansion.

Seasons are also going to significantly impact the game moving forward, and there will be different events going live as well, with "The Dawning" scheduled to be the first of many to come.

Redditor "TheEcumene" also found some interesting references in the game's files which hint that things such as the "Sparrow Racing League" and other seasonal events featured in the first installment of the series may be brought back.

More news about the additional pieces of content coming to "Destiny 2" should be made available soon.
