'Destiny 2' PC Updates Revealed By Bungie

Aside from complaints about players being banned for no reason, the PC release of "Destiny 2" seems to be going smoothly. Now, Bungie plans to improve the game's PC experience and has outlined what players can expect from upcoming updates.

In a post on the game's official website, the developer highlighted the changes and additions coming to the game. These include adjustments to the spawning rules and Supremacy scoring in the Crucible, introduce new systems and rewards, and more.

The main goal of the updates appears to be incentivizing regular players with better reward systems and additional, optional pursuits. These are mainly for or completing Crucible matches and challenging Prestige activities.

Additionally, players can get even more enjoyment from their rewards with improvements to Exotics, new ways to spend surplus currency and materials, and changes to make the mod economy more interesting and impactful.

A number of gameplay improvements are also slated for the game including adjustments to Crucible, improvements to Iron Banner and Faction Rallies, and private matches for the competitive community. The game also plans to implement a remote interface that allows players to equip Salty, Spicy Ramen, Six Shooter, and Flip Out all at the same time.

The PC version of "Destiny 2" was recently flooded with complaints after it allegedly banned hundreds of players for no apparent reason or using third-party software like overlays and or performance monitors. On launch day alone, the game reportedly banned approximately 400 players for programs that threaten the gaming community.

Bungie has explained that the bans were legitimate and that the game only blocks third-party programs and doesn't ban players automatically. Each ban was made by a member of the studio and is only done following a manual investigation.

A number of bans have been overturned by Bungie although these were from the game's PC beta phase, not those that were implemented after its launch on the PC.

"Destiny 2" is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
