'Destiny 2' Will Be Bigger Than Original and DLCs Combined
Exciting details about the highly anticipated sequel "Destiny 2" that Bungie would want to keep under wraps have been leaked online by a Spanish retailer.
The information revealed the Collector's Edition and Limited Edition planned for the game as well as some small details on the downloadable content (DLC) and plot of the sequel.
According to the leak, which was shared and translated by the good folks of Reddit, "Destiny 2" will begin with the last city in ruins. The story reads:
"The last city on Earth has fallen before an overwhelming invasive force under Ghaul, the towering commander of the Red Legion. Guardians are running out of power, and the few survivors have left. You will venture in mysterious, uncharted worlds from the Solar System to discover devastating weapons and combat abilities. In order to defeat the Red Legion and face Ghaul, you will need to gather the surviving heroes from the City and fight back together to claim back home."
There is also a mention of a couple of DLCs coming to "Destiny 2," both of which are included in the game's Collector's Edition and the Limited Edition.
These expansions were described to come with "co-op activities, multiplayer content and tons of armor and gear." The leak also talks of a Legendary sword and emote DLC as well as a Cabal empire emblem DLC.
All of these, the "Destiny 2" Collector's Edition will have along with a "Frontier" physical bag and USB charger with solar panel, a paracord and a solar rug.
The Limited Edition "Destiny 2" will come with whatever the Collector's edition has along with a Cabal-themed premium box, a notebook, a map, and collectibles like postcards and what was referred to as "Pawns from the Empire."
There is also a leaked image that teases a Cayde-6 figure and early "Destiny 2" beta access as bonuses for those who preorder the game.
Meanwhile, it is indicated on the website of retailer GameStop that "Destiny 2" will require 68 GB of space, but emphasized that "storage requirements subject to increase."
The original size alone makes "Destiny 2" already much bigger than the first game with all of the expansions added. With that said, the sequel is set to take a lot of space when it hits the market.
"Destiny 2" will be out Sept. 8 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
