'Destiny 2' Rumors: Will The Darkness Be Featured as DLC?
New rumors hint that clues about upcoming DLC are present in game
The worlds and stories contained within "Destiny 2" are still largely unknown. But among even the most difficult to decipher elements of this offering, there is one that is most mysterious.
Known simply as The Darkness, this still unknowable enemy is the catalyst of one of the great tragedies in humanity's history as seen in the Destiny Wiki.
Fittingly so, The Darkness is believed to still be biding its time in the shadow of space, but the time for its re-emergence may be drawing closer.
A recent article from Game Rant highlighted a theory that has been going around the community for a while now and it involves the post-credits scene.
According to the theory, the scene in question may actually be laying out the exact sequence of when the downoadable content packs may be released and (spoilers ahead), that would suggest that players may soon be heading over to Mercury, to Mars, to The Reef and even The Dreadnaught.
Notably, the part about Mercury has seemingly been confirmed with the official reveal of the "Curse of Osiris" expansion.
Perhaps the most tantalizing part of the theory though is its uncertain element.
Though the developers have not made it clear, there are "Destiny 2" players who believe that The Darkness - or perhaps more accurately, ships that belong to The Darkness - appear during the post-credits scene.
Again, there is hardly anything at all known about this enemy, so even the tease that the developers may finally talk about The Darkness is understandably causing fans to get excited.
Perhaps all of this is building up to a climactic showdown between the Guardians and The Darkness and maybe The Traveler will get involved too.
Questions are plentiful for sure, but if the answer to the query of what will be featured as DLC includes The Darkness, then perhaps answers may be coming soon as well.
More news about the DLC additions coming to "Destiny 2" should be made available in the near future.
