'Destiny 2' Tips and Tricks: How to Activate Heroic Public Events

Now that "Destiny 2" is out on gaming consoles, one of the most interesting gameplay features revealed are the heroic public events. However, players will need to go through a few things before they can activate these game modes.

First, it is important to establish that these heroic public events are naturally harder than its standard counterparts, but in the end, they come with better sets of loot. One proof that these events are far from being ordinary is the fact that each of the eight heroic public events require specific steps before players can activate them.

Glimmer Extraction

Some players might be lured to just shoot at the Fallen in this event. However, the more effective trick is to look for the small generators attached to the drills in all three locations and destroy them. This will activate the event, where the mission now is to defend the mass of Glimmer from attacking enemies until its meter charges to 100 percent.

Ether Resupply

This event has simple steps but tougher tasks. To activate this event, players will need to kill all the small Servitors spawned by the bigger enemies. Once they are all finished, the only mission is to defeat the mother Servitor. However, it will automatically become a tougher opponent once its babies have died.

Injection Rig

To activate the event, players need to defeat the three Scions. During the battles, players will find rigs releasing heat to its target. The key to defeating each Scion is by shooting directly onto the vents until they are destroyed. After doing so, players can proceed to finish the mission, which is to kill a Cabal Centurion.

Weapons Exchange

This event requires a more intricate set of tasks to be activated. Players can find this event when going up against the Arsenal Walker. Players should start by shooting at its legs until the orbs fall. Once they scatter, players need to pick them up and place them in the shield generators.

In this task, players will find three shields that have two generators each. To trigger the event, players need to deactivate the shields by placing one orb on each generator. The mission then begins, which is to kill all the Walkers that will appear.

Witches' Ritual

The chance to start this event occurs when players have defeated the Wizards. They will need to remain standing on the circles until the portal crystals have dropped. When that happens, players need to shoot at the crystals to activate the event. The main objective then is to defeat the Abyssal Champion.

Spire Integration

The objective is to prevent the Elite Vex from surrendering. However, the tricky part is while doing that, more Vex will be spawned and players will also need to keep them away for a certain amount of time.

To activate this heroic event, players need to find the three smaller spires placed around the main spire – this can be spotted in the standard event counterpart. Players should stand in each smaller spire until they are charged up to 100 percent.

Cabal Excavation

Players will find an Excavator circle during the regular event. They need to stand over it and wait for the Thresher ship to appear. Destroying the ship before the bar charges to 100 percent will trigger the heroic event. The objective then is to defeat the Excavation Valus and kill the Cabal boss.

Taken Blight

During the regular event, players will need to go inside the bubbles of blight and not kill Taken. Once players have entered the bubbles, they have a four-second buff time which they need to use to take down the main Blight orb to activate the heroic event. A Blight boss will then appear – defeat it to get the rewards.

"Destiny 2" will also be released for the PC on Tuesday, Oct. 24.
