'Destiny' April Update Brings Revamped Prison of Elders Mode, New Missions and Quests
Developer Bungie has brought in some treats for its online-only first-person shooter video game "Destiny: The Taken King" gamers. According to a report by Engadget, the video game company held a livestream to reveal more details on what's coming along the update and the first one on the list is the increase to the game's maximum "Light level."
The "Light Level" is how power is measured in the game after a player's character reaches level 30. The source detailed that the rating that denotes the gamer's defensive and offensive power has increased to 335 which was previously just 310. Moreover, Mashable wrote that "Destiny's: Prison of Elders mode is going to be back. This particular mode first debuted in "House of Wolves" add-on in 2015. After "The Taken King" was released, the mode lost the attention. Thus, Bungie has given Prison of Elders a revamp and will be arriving along with the game's spring update.
Bungie has shared that Prison of Elders will be the main focus for players that wishes to attain the new Light cap. There will be a new "level 41" which is said to be the suggested piece for players at or above Light 260.
The April update will also be introducing Malok, who is described to be an iniquitous existence and the new Taken commander. He is also the Strike's boss. The old Winter's Run Strike is also said to be returning, and this time it will come in new so that the game's current high-level players can go through a challenge.

Game Rant also noted that players can go to Petra Venj in the Reef to obtain a new exclusive Quest, which is revealed to end up in a "unique reward." It's not know yet though how the new Quest will be as a whole but it was revealed during Bungie's April update stream that the first step will bring the gamers to the Court of Oryx onboard the Dreadnaught on a collection quest.
Gamers will also need to defeat the Champions in the Court of Oryx in order to collect Essence with higher level Champions releasing more Essence. Upon completion of the Quest, the next step will be opened, which is something that fans of the game will have to find out once the update releases on April 12.
