'Destiny' Gameplay News: Xbox One Players Are Finally Getting PS4-Exclusive Contents Two Years After Launch

Game developer Bungie has silently ported "Destiny" contents that were previously exclusive to PlayStation 4 players onto the Xbox One platform. However, many of the console's players cannot appreciate it two years after the earliest of the content was released.

"Destiny" was undoubtedly a massive hit for Bungie when it was launched in  2014 for the PS4 and Xbox One. Unfortunately, for players using the latter console, there were several game contents that were not available to them upon launch.

Such case is not new since several other games have content limitations for a certain console platform upon launch and it would take a month or more to make them available on every supported platforms.

However, the addition of the PS4-exclusives to Xbox One came a little too late - two years to be exact - for some, and a number of "Destiny" fans cannot find a reason to appreciate the act. Bungie has also not made any public announcements to confirm the additional Xbox One contents.

The addition of PS4-exclusive "Destiny" contents were only discovered by some gaming fans, and Reddit user DooceBigalo shared the information on the social media platform earlier last week. He later on added: "[Does] anyone find it fishy there's been no word from Bungie on this?"

Meanwhile, Reddit user isvrygud commented on the thread to list some of the contents made available to Xbox One players following the silent update. The list included several weapons and armor pieces for the three classes from 2015 and 2016.

For example, "Destiny's" April 2016 update included armor pieces Barkhan Dune I for Warlocks, Jovian Guard for Titans, and Long Tomorrow 9G for Hunters. The same pack also featured the weapon Zen Meteor and the Essence of Darkness mission.

However, the addition of the PS4-exclusives to the Xbox One "Destiny" version was met with criticisms and sarcasm from disappointed players.

Once Reddit user commented on the thread: "Can't wait to use my new weapons in Trials or Iron banner.... Oh wait, they're gone now."

Meanwhile, another player asked fellow Reddit users and "Destiny" players: "Are... are they expecting us to say thanks? What type of response do they think they deserve for this [expletive]"?

Speaking in terms of the delay, the Reddit user added: "1 month is ok, 3 months, pushing it. 2 [expletive] years, in which the extension was made without any announcement and this sub had to figure it out ourselves? An abomination. And now they release it AFTER the sequel came out. This is so bad it's laughable."
