Destiny: Rise of Iron in Gamescom 2016: How does 'Crucible' Look? Preview, Latest ViDoc and Release Schedule

Gamers are in sudden euphoria because of information overload of titles scheduled for September release. Destiny: Rise of Iron invaded the gaming world on Wednesday, August 17 with a trailer and a game peek. The video runs for short eight minutes, but provided a good glimpse of what to expect next month.

Most players will also agree that there are surprises – tons of them in the video. These include gears, armors, and footage of Wrath of the Machine. The best eye candy is the weapon sets for players who want to conquer the game with a superb arsenal.

Meanwhile, at the Gamescom 2016, developer Bungie also presented a video documentary of Rise of Iron Expansion with a head that reads Forged in Fire. The event attendees were all surprised with the depth of the game and the video quality that looks promising. Bungie managed to hook the gamers albeit these changes were announced before. Moreover, the story plot, raid and Crucible maps are among the standout features of the upcoming game.

To make things clear, Wrath of the Machine is the latest raid offering, but will only be available after the release of Expansion. Gamers can expect this new raid on September 23 if there are no drastic changes in the franchise. There are no clear details yet about The Wretched Eye which is to be the new Strike. The best bet is its inclusion in the expansion pack rather than a tag along in the Wrath of Machine.

Another surprise off the Bungie shell is the customizability of private matches. In the previous version, multiplayer matches were conducted through a preset environment. In comparison, the Expansion gives the player control over a number of opponents, and an advance exploration for the Crucible.

Private matches and updates

Even those who are in tight budget and can't buy the Expansion pack will enjoy the private matches. It appears that Bungie has decided to make the content downloadable through an update. The only catch is the limit for this specific feature only and not the whole content of the Rise of Iron. There is no information yet regarding the update pack and its release date. However, the developer hinted that the download servers will synchronized with the Rise of Iron release.

To wrap up, Bungie clarified that the Expansion pack is out on September 20 (Wrath of Machine on September 23) and will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox.
