'Destiny 2' Tips and Tricks: Find Xur and Know What He Is Selling

Playing "Destiny 2" has more meaning this weekend for PC gamers, and it is about finding Xur and buying what he has in his inventory.

Xur is the well-known merchant in the "Destiny" game franchise who players look forward to seeing on the weekend. In each week, Xur's inventory is packed with an Exotic weapon, and Exotic armour pieces each for every class.

Xur is currently located in the Giant Scar -- a region within Io. The fastest way to get there is by opening the map directory, clicking on Io and selecting Launch. Players should then choose the Fast Travel option to Giant Scar to immediately arrive close to where Xur is.

Upon reaching Giant Scar, players need to cross the valley through a tunnel structure found in the lower part of the area. Once they reach the other side, they must follow the path on the left until they find a giant boulder on the left side of the road.

A path beside the huge rock will lead to a small cave where Xur will be, hiding among the pillars.

For this weekend, Xur brought the D.A.R.C.I. sniper rifle for 29 Legendary Shards. To use the weapon, a player must have reached at least level 20. It comes with seven magazines and can fire 140 rounds of bullet within a minute.

However, several reports do not recommend buying the said exotic weapon. Polygon advises not to buy the rifle unless a player just wants to add it to their collection. Rolling Stone also commented that the D.A.R.C.I. was unlikely going to be used frequently.

Meanwhile, the armour pieces that Xur brought this weekend are the Knucklehead Radar helmet for Hunters, the Actium War Rig chest piece for Titans, and the Eye of Another World helmet for Warlocks.

The manner of purchase is almost the same in "Destiny 2." However, if Xur accepted Strange Coins in "Destiny 1," the merchant has changed his preferred currency to Legendary Shards for the sequel game.

This weekend is also special for Xur since it is going to be his first time dealing with PC gamers as "Destiny 2" arrived for the said platform for the first time last Tuesday.

Xur will be around until Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 5 a.m. EDT in time for the game's weekly reset.
