Destiny's Child Reunion After Eight Years for 'Love Songs' Compilation
The popular female R&B group Destiny's Child, which includes famous female singers Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams, is reuniting to release a love songs compilation, it was announced Thursday.
"I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny's Child music in eight years!" wrote Beyonce Knowles on her official website.
A press release noted by the Los Angeles Times describes the upcoming compilation as "the most sensual romantic recordings from the bestselling vocal group."

According to Billboard, the female trio will release a 14-track compilation of all their most romantic-themed songs recorded from 1997 to 2004.
In addition, the group will also produce a newly recorded track entitled "Nuclear," which, according to the Destiny's Child official website, was produced and co-written by rapper Pharrell Williams.
According to E! News, this recently announced mini-reunion has fans speculating if Williams and Rowland will join Beyonce during her halftime performance at the Feb. 3 Super Bowl.
When E! News previously asked Rowland of this possibility, the singer, who has made a formidable solo act of her own, deflected with the answer "I'll be watching."
Fans have taken to Twitter to express their excitement for this reunion.
"Is Destiny's Child really reuniting or is this a cruel tease? That is my dream!" tweeted one fan.
"This must be whatever the opposite of the apocalypse is," tweeted another fan of the reunion.
"I missed those Destiny's Child days," tweeted another.
The new compilation "Destiny's Child -- Love Songs" will be released on Jan. 29, just in time for Valentine's Day on Feb. 14.
