'Destiny's' Sparrow Racing League Updates: Beat Bungie and Win an Emblem; Film Festival Calls for Entries
"Destiny's" Sparrow Racing League is ongoing, but Bungie has made a couple of announcements to spice up the event. Participants can get a new emblem if they win against any Bungie employee, and the SRL Festival is now calling for entries.

There's a need for speed for the next Bungie Bounty, a live streamed Twitch event that offers "Destiny" community members a chance to beat the folks at Bellevue, Washington at their own game.

The folks at Bungie are calling for players to gear up and meet them at the starting line in Sparrow Racing League. Players who get matched against at least one Bungie employee have a chance to win the emblem pictured below. To get the new emblem, players need to win the race and place at the top 3. Each player who emerges as the victor in each race during the two-hour event will be awarded the new emblem.
The latest Bungie Bounty will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 6 to 8 p.m. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can participate in the live event.
SRL Film Festival calls for entries
Bungie has set up a Sparrow Racing League Film Festival and is now accepting entries. To participate, SRL participants need to capture some "amazing" moments in their races and create a video. Bungie will accept entries until Monday, Dec. 21 (Pacific time).
The SRL Film Festival has three categories. Rubbin's Racin' calls for videos that feature combat montage — this means lots of explosive moments on the track — at 160 kph. Barrel Roll Call calls for winning with style. Sweet Rides urges players to re-create a car commercial in a parody video to show off their favorite Sparrow.
The grand winner of this film festival will receive a Limited Edition Destiny PS4 console. Bungie will also choose a winner in each category and award them with a Sparrow 3D model, SRL PS4 controller skin, an SRL t-shirt, Collector's Edition Strange Coin, a "Destiny" poster signed by the SRL development team, and an MOTW emblem. The last item will also be given to three honorable mentions. Winners will be announced during Bungie's weekly update on Thursday, Dec. 24.
"Destiny's" Sparrow Racing League is a three-week-long event that started on Dec. 8 and ends on Dec. 29.
