'Detective Conan' Episode 878 Spoilers: Anime Series to Adapt the Fitting Room Murder Case Arc

The girls and Conan are going swimsuit shopping on the next episode of the Japanese mystery anime series, "Meitantei Conan (Detective Conan)."

As shown in the preview for the episode titled "The Blind Spot in the Changing Room," Conan will be accompanying Ran, Sonoko, and Sera to the department store, where the girls hope to buy some swimsuits. However, they are shortly interrupted by a scream coming from the store they were just in.

Upon arriving at the fitting room in the said store, they find a strangled 41-year-old customer named Ritsuko Sashihara, who seems to have managed to leave a dying message by her fingers. But could this message possibly help Conan and his crew solve the mystery of her death?

The upcoming episode is the animated adaptation of the Files 969 and 970 from the 91st volume of the source manga by Gosho Aoyama. This Fitting Room Murder Case arc will continue on to the next episode, which will be adapted from File 971 from the 92nd manga volume.

Who could've killed Sashihara and for what reason? What clue has her fingers left inside that fitting room? Could she have been a random victim, a mistaken victim, or was she the intended victim all along?

The previous episode titled "Akaoni Village Fire Festival Murder Case" was a remastered version of the anime series' 38th episode and was adapted from the first three files in the second volume of the manga. It featured the case of a dead body that was discovered in a bonfire during a ritual Fire Festival.

In the end, it was revealed that the victim's friend, Yutaka, did the crime to get the insurance that the victim has promised Yutaka should he die.

"Detective Conan" airs on Saturdays at 6 p.m. JST on Yomiuri TV. Episodes are also available for selected regions outside Japan via Crunchyroll.
