Since then they have defeated the Oakland Raiders 49-20, the Green Bay Packers 27-13, the Washington Redskins 24-16, and last week they did fantastically well to win against the resurgent Arizona Cardinals 24-21.
Philadelphia have made an effort to assure everyone that Nick Foles' job at quarterback is safe at least through to the end of the season. He has done surprisingly well since he took over the role, and is 124 of 196 for 1,791 yards and 19 touchdowns.
The Eagles are 2nd in the NFL on rush, with 146.8 yards on the ground per game. They are third in the league overall for total yards gained per game (403.6 yards per game).
Meanwhile, the Lions will be in confident mood having destroyed division rivals, the Green Bay Packers, last week 40-10. They have the 2nd ranked pass offense in the league, posting 309.3 yards per game in the air. They also rank second in total yards per game (424.5 yards), and 4th in total points scored per game (27.2 points).
This should be an intriguing clash between two in form teams.
