'Deus Ex: Breach' and 'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided' VR Experience Now Free on Steam

PC owners are among the lucky gamers as for one, they are immune to console divides and more importantly, titles either get discounts most of the time or better yet, free. PC players are once again reminded of that privilege with the advent of two free modes from the action role-playing stealth video game, "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided."

The first free offering on Steam is "Deus Ex: Breach," which is considered a standalone addition to the title. It is a unique game mode with an arcade approach in which as a hacker in the far future, the gamer can receive rewards with booster packs on top of the most wanted items. Considering it is a live game, new challenges and updates are regularly done.

For those who already have "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" on Steam, it won't be necessary to download the standalone title as it is already included in the original game. The free download for "Deus Ex: Breach" is meant for other players who won't need to get the main game to enjoy "Breach."

Despite being from a well-renowned title, the content has quickly garnered mixed reviews from Steam players. Some are commenting that it was the worst part of "Deus Ex," and that the controls are simply clunky and kind of incited motion sickness; in short, they are giving it an overwhelming thumbs-down.

The other free offering from the title is the "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" VR experience, which supports Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. With this mode, players are given the freedom to explore the world of "Deus Ex," most particularly four environments in the game. It also gives a better view of the main heroes and non-playable characters of the game.

This, on the other hand, got better reception, and many players are clamoring for PSVR. Unfortunately, there are currently no plans for PSVR support, although fans are still hopeful that there will be in the future.
