Devon Franklin, Meagan Good Releasing Wedding Photos With New Book
Hollywood executive DeVon Franklin and his "Minority Report" actress wife, Meagan Good, are revealing their wedding photographs to people who pre-order their book, The Wait.
"We hope #TheWait will help you know and love yourself even more," Good wrote on her Instagram page. "Pre-order today and get access to never seen before pics of our wedding day! #ItsWorthTheWait."
The 34-year-old actress previously appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" where she spoke about the upcoming book that she's co-authoring with husband DeVon Franklin, 37.
"We're writing a book; it's called The Wait," she told host Jimmy Kimmel about the book that will be released Feb. 2. "I'd been in a couple relationships and I was like, 'You know, this isn't really working for me.' I wanted to do something different."
The Christian actress then explained why she later decided to stay abstinent before marriage.
"Spiritually, I believe it's what I should have done, and so, I was like, 'You know, I'm going to try it this way,'" Good recalled.
Good took to her Instagram page to share that a close friend was once afraid that the entertainer would conform to become someone she wasn't in her marriage. It seemed Good's friend did not want her to lose her bold, spontaneous nature, and the entertainer admitted that she once feared the same.
After over years of marriage to preacher and Hollywood Executive DeVon Franklin, it seems the actress pleasantly discovered more than she expected within herself and her union to Franklin.
"I found that I was in fact more absolutely free than I've ever been in this lifetime ... I'm still bold ... Fearless and Free spirited ... But in a healthy way .. .a way that has the ability to impact how God has intended me to be used and the way He built me ..." Good wrote.
"For every bit of crazy lol that I've fearfully been 'willing' to give up ... I've discovered another kind of crazy ... lol that has always been the 'same exact' crazy I've always been, but now free willingly directed in the way God created it to be used ..."
In 2012 , Good married preacher Franklin. Although the Christian couple has been vocal about finding joy in one another, Good previously shed light on some fears she had before exchanging vows.
"What I feared about marriage was that I would lose my identity and be controlled or suffocated or like a caged lion, and what I found was the exact opposite," Good told Upscale magazine in 2013. "I'm way more empowered, more content, more confident and just freer across the board."
It seems the actress' fears were not substantiated.
"Oddly, you would think in marriage it would make you feel like you have less freedom, but I'm finding that I have more freedom [since I've been married] because I trust myself more and I'm a little bit more absolute about my choices …" Good told Upscale.
