Diane Keaton on Plastic Surgery: 'Never Say Never' Contradicts Earlier Statements
Diane Keaton has been a spokeswoman for L'Oreal makeup and skincare for six years, but now the famed actress has spoken out about holding onto her good looks by using plastic surgery.
"Never say never," she says in a new AARP interview.
The actress has been in the entertainment business since the 1970s, acting in such blockbuster films as "The Godfather," "Annie Hall" and "Baby Boom." She continues to remain a notable presence in the industry but has also taken on work as a spokeswoman for L'Oreal skincare.

In a revealing interview with AARP magazine, though, Keaton has stated that she is not above using plastic surgery to keep her good looks.
"Never say never, because when you do, you are definitely going to go there," she said.
Keaton's personal history is proof of her belief.
"I said I would never go to a psychiatrist and I have spent much of my life in psychoanalysis," she explained. "I've done all kinds of things I said I wouldn't do, and of course, now I'm glad. Thrilled."
Her AARP interview stands in sharp contrast to an interview she gave in 2004. She previously told More magazine "I'm stuck in this idea that I need to be authentic … My face needs to look the way I feel."
No matter her views on plastic surgery, though, Keaton does not fear getting older.
"The best part is that I'm still here and, because the end is in sight, I treasure it all the more. That's why I don't worry about crying in a scene anymore. Now it comes easily; I know the emotion's all there," said the actress.
Keaton stars in the new movie "The Wedding," in which she pretends to be married to Robert DeNiro, who plays her ex-husband. The movie will also feature Amanda Seyfried, Katherine Heigl, Susan Sarandon and Robin Williams.
Her last film, "Morning Glory," was not an instant success, but that doesn't stop the icon from following her dreams and taking chances. "You have to … take risks. Do things you can't imagine. 'Cause hey, why not, right?"
