Dick Clark Dies at 82 After Massive Heart Attack (VIDEO)
News reports have confirmed that American game show host and television personality Dick Clark has been declared dead.
Reports announced Wednesday afternoon that the 82-year-old man died after suffering from a massive heart attack following an outpatient procedure. Attempts to resuscitate Clark proved unsuccessful.
Clark had suffered from a number of health issues which began in 2004 following a severe stroke. The game show host became known for his catch phrase "For now, Dick Clark ... so long."
Many suggested that Clark remained a relevant presence on television throughout his career due to his "relatable personality." CNN reported that Clark was one of the world's greatest entertainers. Following his 2004 stroke, Clark suffered from a speech impediment and never seemed to fully recover to his previous state.
