Dido Denies Speaking Negatively About Rihanna
Dido, singer-songwriter, is defending herself against claims that she spoke negatively about fellow performer Rihanna.
Dido appeared in a recent issue of the German publication Focus magazine where she reportedly spoke about the 25-year-old Barbadian singer. Dido, a 41-year-old British singer, reportedly insinuated that Rihanna's music was not heartfelt since she released seven albums in seven years.
"When does she have time to write her songs," Dido questioned in Focus. "I could never release music that means nothing to me. Rihanna seems to release a new album weekly. Unbelievable!"

However, the British singer denied that she had any ill intent when speaking to the German magazine. Dido took to Twitter to speak about the incident.
"Obviously I didn't say that about Rihanna!! I'm a big fan of hers," Dido tweeted. "Ridiculous. totally misquoted."
Despite the remarks featured in Focus magazine, Rihanna's latest record "Unapologetic" was released last November and earned the singer her first number one album debut on Billboard albums charts. The singer expressed her joy for accomplishing the feat last November on Twitter.
"Wait!!!!! What the (expletive)?!!!! #UNAPOLOGETIC just debuted at #1 in AMERICA!!!!! My first number 1 album there!!! Thank you Navy, u deserve it," Rihanna tweeted to her fans. "I'm legit crying like a (expletive) right now!! #UNAPOLOGETIC."
Although Dido denied speaking negatively about Rihanna, Seth MacFarlane did not shy away from speaking publicly about the 25-year-old singer at the 85th Annual Academy Awards. MacFarlane referenced Django Unchained, when he referencing Rihanna's relationship with on-and-off again boyfriend Chris Brown who assaulted the Barbadian singer in 2009.
Although MacFarlane called the film unspeakably violent, he also called it "date night for Rihanna and Chris Brown."
In a recent interview with V Magazine, Rihanna made it clear that she does not focus on the negativity aimed at her.
" If I let that other stuff in, it'll take the space of productive (expletive), and that isn't good," she told V.
