Dina Eastwood on Husband Clint After Separation: 'He's Wonderful, Brilliant'
Clint and Dina Eastwood announced their separation after 17 years of marriage last week, and now Dina has spoken out about the ordeal. Instead of having anything negative to say about her former husband, Dina was very complimentary and fueled speculation as to what led to the separation.
"I don't like reading negative things about Clint," Dina posted on Twitter. "He is a wonderful, good-natured, brilliant person. No matter what, I attest to that."
Nothing has been said as to what led to the formal separation, but rumors have suggested that Clint was cheating. After the separation was announced, photographers found Clint with an unknown blonde woman at Los Angeles Airport, fueling even more speculation, even though his relationship with the younger woman was unknown.

"Time and truth go hand in hand. I try to spend TIME being positive while the TRUTH percolates. What do YOU do to [stay] patient when you're antsy?" Dina tweeted not long after her statement about husband. She also tweeted, "I usually don't believe in 'karma' for people who target others with evil intentions. But, I sure hope it exists now #makeyourbedsleepinit." Could this be a backhanded comment about the situation with Clint?
Clint and Dina married in 1996 and welcomed their only child together, a daughter named Morgan, just nine months later. When the announcement was made, Clint remained silent, reportedly on the set of a new film.
"Clint is shooting a picture right now, unavailable to reach. He doesn't have a press agent and that's all I can tell you," his manager Leonard Hirshan told E! News after the announcement went public.
Clint has been married twice and had three other serious relationships that have resulted in seven children for the Oscar-winning actor. There is no word yet if he is involved in a new relationship, but a friend confirmed that he and Dina had been unofficially separated for close to one year.
