Dinner Theater Inspires Church Mission

An innovative way to inspire church missions to Africa involves two top favorites for most people – food and entertainment.

Seeds International, a ministry helping local churches follow up with new believers, is using its dinner theater production to carry the calls for help in Africa to the local church.

Little One is a free, unique, professional production based on true stories from the life of a Zambian orphan. Audience members are treated to authentic African cuisine while they travel across Africa through real-life footage of life through the eyes of the main character, Namambo, combined with live drama.

The production does not charge churches but asks for a small fee for the dinner. An offering is also collected to support Project Seedbag, a program that provides discipleship materials to schools in underdeveloped countries. Seedbag contains Bible lessons, a New Testament, stationery and crayons, toys, and other items hand-delivered by full-time missionaries or short-term teams to schools and orphanages in needy countries.

Good Soil Mission Dinner Theatre hopes to offer congregations a faith-based theater experience, a deeper sense of community, and God’s heart for missions.
