'Dissidia Final Fantasy NT' News: Devs Preview How 'Final Fantasy 15's' Noctis Will Fight in the Upcoming Game
Still unclear what class Noctis will belong to in the game
"Dissidia Final Fantasy NT's" roster is still expanding, and the latest addition to it is one that fans of the role-playing game's franchise will easily recognize.
Revealed in a new trailer that developers showed off during the Tokyo Game Show, the upcoming fighting game will now include none other than "Final Fantasy 15's" main protagonist, Noctis.
Fans can see Noctis in action near the end of the trailer. Right away, they should notice that not much has changed about the way he engages enemies in combat.
During his brief time onscreen, Noctis frequently used his warp strikes to close the distance on his opponent. Thanks to his abilities, he also looks like he will be very difficult to get a hold of in battle, so slower characters may struggle against him.
Noctis has not been fully fleshed out just yet as a "Dissidia Final Fantasy NT" character, and it even remains unclear which particular class he belongs to.
Four different character classes will be included in the game, with those being Assassin, Marksman, Specialist and Vanguard.
As seen on the game's official website, it looks like only the Specialist class is the one with slots remaining so Noctis could be one of them. Still, from what was shown of his moves, it is easy to see him being designated as an Assassin-type character as well.
Aside from the playable characters, there will also be Summons featured in the game that can quickly change the flow of a battle whenever players turn to them for help.
It was still unclear if there will be more members of the playable roster or other Summons that will be revealed.
"Final Fantasy" fans, as well as those who enjoy fighting games will be able to get "Dissidia Final Fantasy NT" as soon as it is released in North America on Jan. 30.
