'Divinity: Original Sin 2' Gameplay: Picking the Right Starter Class
New players of "Divinity: Original Sin 2" may find it difficult to get through the game, but the secret lies within the first decision of choosing the right character.
Before anything else, players have to pick who they want to play as. The game comes with all sorts of different characters who are readily available, but players can also opt to make their own through customizations. There is also the option to select a ready-made character and make some tweaks or adjustments based on the player's liking.
Picking the right starter class is a good jumping off point. And according to GameSpot, there are a number of different classes to choose from.
The first is the ever flexible Battlemage, who does not have one specific specialty. The Cleric, on the other hand, is very skilled in healing magic, which is a useful attribute when it comes to battles. Having a Cleric on the team is always a good idea. Apart from its healing powers, the Cleric can also deal some damage using its Necromancer skills.
Another class worth mentioning is the Enchanter. This class also uses magic to deal damage to enemies. The Fighter is likewise a class that is important to the team. At the very base of their skills, Fighters function as tanks in the game. Meanwhile, Knights deal more close-range damage when compared to Fighters, though the two classes are similar. Because of their nature, Knights must always be at the center of action in order to have a huge effect on enemies.
Players may also want to choose the Rogue class, which is hugely dependent on stealth so as to deal the most damage. Other classes available are Conjurer, Inquisitor, Metamorphs, Ranger, Shadowblades, Wayfarer, Witch and Wizard.
"Divinity: Original Sin 2" was released last month. It currently holds a 95 rating on Metacritic, which indicates universal acclaim.
