DMX to Perform New Song on Dr. Drew's Show Tomorrow
Tomorrow afternoon DMX will be on Dr. Drew's new show, "Dr. Drew's Lifechangers," and will perform his new song "Keep Ya Head Up" for the first time on television.
The episode will show DMX meeting with a troubled young man to help him get his life back in order after years of abuse.
AllHipHop reports DMX gives the man two options – "a productive life or wasted time behind bars."

The rapper claims he has beaten a little over a decade of drug addiction since his release from jail, and will discuss the addiction and sobriety along with his past of abuse from his mother on the show.
DMX said his relationship with God got him out of his rut: "I am on a spiritual road to do right in my life. I am leaving out all negativity and going to stay on the right road to positive."
This positive attitude and newfound faith have propelled the rapper to seek change after spending the last eight years in and out of jail.
"When [DMX] first came to my church he looked broken, sad, and full of struggle. Now you see a dramatic change. You see that the drugs and alcohol aren’t in his life," said DMX's pastor to TMZ about the rapper’s transformation.
DMX has sparked a bit of controversy stating several times that his true life calling is to become a pastor despite being in and out of jail for the better part of 10 years.
"[This time in jail] has gotten me closer ... to realizing, to actualizing my true calling in life, which is to be a pastor," DMX told Fox 10 News in 2009, while serving time in Maricopa County Jail in Phoenix.
He hopes to eventually launch a television program about how he can reach people for Jesus due to his fame.
For those who say DMX cannot be Christian because of his lyrics he claims, "It's just slick talk; it's not something to be taken literally. Evidently, if I was doing that, I wouldn't be rapping. It's word play, poetry.”
DMX is sure to put one gospel song on every album he has produced.
"What it boils down to, and it always boils down to, is a gospel song and a prayer,” DMX said to FOX. “Every album I ended with a gospel song and a prayer.”
The episode will air Nov. 9 at 3 and 3:30 P.M. ET on The CW.
