'Doctor Strange' News and Plot Rumors: Spider-Man Joins the Strange Set?
In what could be one of the most exciting news that has ever emerged about "Doctor Strange," it is rumored that Spidey will be flinging his web in the upcoming movie.
Last week, some images were released by Louis D'Esposito showing the set of the first dark-themed superhero movie in the history of Marvel. One specific image got the attention of Coming Soon, and according to the outlet, the reason why it was eye-catching is because it simply showed Tom Holland on set.
Immediately after the news of Holland's visit on set emerged, fans speculated that Spider-Man may possibly have a cameo role in the upcoming movie. At the moment, there is no word as to what the young actor was doing on the set of "Doctor Strange," but the hottest rumor is that he might either be teaming up with Benedict Cumberbatch's Dr. Stephen Strange or will be against him.
The speculation isn't totally fan fiction since in the comic books, the dark magic expert actually spent quite some good times with Spidey. Comics geeks should be reminded that Dr. Strange had an impact on Peter Parker's life after the Civil War wherein the web-slinging hero was involved in the battle of the Avengers.
While Holland being part of the cast has not been confirmed, the movie will star Rachel McAdams, award-winning Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Stuhlbarg, Scott Adkins, Amy Landecker, and fan favorite Mads Mikkelsen.
The movie will be focusing on the life of Stephen Strange. He encounters a car accident and afterward discovers that there is something good in the dark world of magic and other dimensions.
Another photo was revealed earlier purportedly showing Strange's "Sanctum Santorum" as it has books, a nice, aged desk, and pillars that seem to have been crafted from strong rocks. The pillars have ancient carvings tinted with a dark brown shade that only adds to the movie's shady theme.
While it could possibly be the doctor's place of refuge and studies, it could also be the home of his mentor, who is known as The Ancient One.
"Doctor Strange" hits the big screens on Nov. 4, 2016.
