'Doctor Strange' News, Cast, Spoilers: Filming Moves Indoors in UK Location
It has always been a challenge for many fans to get an inside look into the filming process of Marvel films, but not in the case of "Doctor Strange," the latest venture of Marvel into the Phase 3 of its cinematic universe. The movie started filming outdoors in Nepal and had given many people opportunities to see the latest development on the film. However, as expected, this will no longer be the case as shooting has now moved to the UK locations according to Screen Rant.
"Doctor Strange" is definitely a step away from the usual superhero movies as it aims to infuse mysticism into the current Marvel world. Although the announcement of the film initially received criticisms from some saying that the movie may not be much of a success due to its unpopular story line, Marvel seems to have triggered excitement going for many as the cast for the film has been tagged as the best among all the recent Marvel films. With Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch leading the movie as Doctor Stephen Strange, he is joined by Rachel McAdams as his love interest, Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One, and Michael Stuhlbarg as Nicodemus West. While shooting in Nepal, Chiwetel Ejiofor was also revealed to be playing Baron Mondo.
The latest addition to the cast is action star Scott Adkins, but his role is still to be identified. However, The Wrap reports that it is expected that Adkins will be doing a lot of fighting scenes, specifically those that will put his hand-to-hand combat skills into use. Two of the characters that he could theoretically be playing is a version of Wong, a martial arts master that will later pledge loyalty to Doctor Strange, while the other is Kaecilius, an agent of Baron Mordo, who will later be tasked to fight the Doctor.
