'Doctor Who' Christmas Special to Debut at Bradford Odeon Cinema
"Doctor Who" is making history with its Christmas special debut later this evening.
The special episode will be the first screening at Bradford's Odeon cinema, which has been disused for 17 years. Two separate showings will be held at the old cinema for fans who won tickets for the special in a BBC ballot. According to film expert David Wison, tonight's screening would be a "big day for the building."
Meanwhile, Peter Capaldi recently settled the "Doctor Who" name debate once and for all. The actor was a guest in Radio 2's Access All Areas and he explained to host Jo Whiley that The Doctor can also be called Doctor Who. He also talked about the iconic character's real name.

"I also know his real name," he revealed. "It's not pronounceable to humans. It's a frequency that can only be heard of people with good heart. If you haven't heard it Jo [Whiley], I can't help you there."
"Twice Upon a Time" will see Capaldi's departure as the Time Lord. It will also feature Pearl Mackie's comeback as Bill Potts, as well as a starring role for "Game of Thrones" star David Bradley as the First Doctor — an iconic role portayed by William Hartnell in the '60s.
Additionally, the special will see the first appearance of Jodie Whittaker as the new incarnation of the Time Lord. The actress' debut in the franchise is hotly anticipated, especially since she will be the first female Time Lord in the show's history. Aside from Capaldi's exit, the special will also mark the departure of showrunner Steven Moffat.
Further details about the show's next season, which is expected to premiere next year, are still being kept under wraps.
The "Doctor Who" Christmas special airs Monday, Dec. 25, at 9 p.m. EST on BBC America.
