Dolph Ziggler WWE News: Ziggler Gets Pinned by Bobby Roode

Dolph Ziggler got pinned by Bobby Roode on Sunday night's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view (PPV) at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. Both fighters went through a series of roll-ups before Roode ultimately managed to defeat Ziggler.

Several weeks ago, Roode dominated the NXT Championship and got a call-up to SmackDown Live, in which he debuted to win against Aiden English. While Roode was off television for some weeks, Ziggler was busy building his new character, taking shots at current and former Superstars. The fighter even recently proclaimed himself as the best in-ring worker on WWE — it's just fans don't appreciate him, he said.

According to Ziggler, it's sad that fans of the WWE care more about the wrestlers' ostentatious entrances than wrestling itself. As a result, he has come to imitate the flashy entrances of fan-favorite fighters like Randy Savage, The Ultimate Warrior, Triple H, Shawn Michael, and many others. Two weeks ago, he also dressed up like The Undertaker, as he went to the ring during a match, when suddenly, Roode interrupted his flashy entrance and challenged Ziggler for Hell in a Cell.

As Ziggler accepted Roode's challenge, fans were thrilled, thinking that the two fighters were ideal opponents. Roode was a multi-time Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) world heavyweight champion before he entered the world of wrestling, making him a perfect match for Ziggler. Like the other fighter, he is also known for his glitzy entrances in the wrestling arena.

During last Sunday's fight, both Roode and Ziggler gave their all, but it was Roode who outwrestled his opponent at every turn. Roode mainly won with a roll-up by holding Ziggler's tights for added leverage in the pinfall. After getting up, Ziggler laid his opponent out with a zig zag before getting out of the ring.
