Don Piper talks about his '90 Minutes in Heaven' a month before movie's release
As Don Piper continues to promote his new movie "90 Minutes in Heaven," the pastor shared a few details of what believers and other viewers will see in the movie that recollects his time spent in paradise.
He described Heaven in the same way that the Bible described it, noting that there is nothing on Earth that could go beyond the beauty of what he saw.
In an interview with Breathe Cast, Piper said, "The first astounding experience was these people I had loved and lost for a little while, they were there to greet me. I often say you don't sneak up on Heaven. Everyone there knows who's coming so they were prepared for my arrival. Grandparents, friends, teachers, relatives, and I was greeted by them and they were literally in perfect condition."

While there have been some doubts about the pastor's account, he added that those who died in old age on Earth were "perfect and healthy there."
On January 18, 1989, Piper "died" after his car was crushed by a semi-tractor truck. Rescue teams declared him dead on the spot, but Piper said God wanted him alive once again as a co-pastor came to the scene to pray for him. He recounted how he questioned what God's purpose was for bringing him back after he already had a view of Heaven.
"You could imagine when I laid there in the hospital bed for all those months and I was asking the question 'Why did you send me back to this?'" he said. "I think it was in some part at least so that I can tell people it [heaven] is real and you have to be ready for it."
According to Piper, the accounts of God's abode written in the Bible are all true. He said he was in the midst of "brilliance" and he walked the famed streets of gold upon entering the gates of pearl.
Piper's best-selling book has been turned into a movie and will be out on theaters by Sep. 11.
