Don't Miss Your Eunuch
Easter is this weekend. I hope you've been inviting people like a rabid fool. Don't think of it as just an "event" where we try to get a huge number of people... historically, we have seen these kinds of days as very strategic in the growth of our church.
Rick Warren described it like this:
Usually church growth looks more like stair steps than a straight line. You have a big day and afterwards you go down -but not as far down as you were before. Then you grow again all at once … then drop a bit afterwards.
I'm going to speaking about the "point of decision" that the ruler from Ethiopia was brought to in Acts 8:25-40. What is amazing to me is that in the middle of a huge awakening happening in Samaria, God was concerned with one man 165 miles away. Philip went out of his way to engage that man. You and I, Summit, are in the place of Philip. We have a lot going on here on Sundays, with over 4000 coming every week. This Sunday we'll have close to 6000. But God is concerned about that one, your neighbor or friend, that He's been working on and is prompting you to invite.
Don't miss this chance. Preaching Jesus to individuals is the heart behind of all why we do what we do.
We are asking you to take one day (or, at least, one meal in one day) to pray and fast for what will happen this week, and for the steps God has put before us, as a church, to take. Please join us in this... and use this prayer guide to assist you.
