Donald Trump and Adriana Lima Defend Tom Brady's Wife Gisele Bundchen
Donald Trump has defended Tom Brady's wife following the widespread backlash that she has received over her comments surrounding the Super Bowl.
The "Celebrity Apprentice" boss said that 31-year-old Gisele Bundchen was right to criticize New England Patriots players for failing to back her quarterback husband on the field which ultimately led to their loss.
"She's standing up for her man and Gisele didn't do anything wrong. She's standing up for her man and she happened to be right. They were dropping balls all over the place," Trump told Access Hollywood on Wednesday night.
Bundchen, who raced to comfort Brady after his team's Super Bowl loss against the New York Giants, recently came under fire after blaming her husband's fellow teammates for losing the match on Sunday.
"My husband cannot (expletive) throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times," a heated Bundchen shot back at gloating Giants fans.
Shortly after the supermodel made what critics have labeled the "offensive" remarks, New England Patriots' among other critics blasted her for her alleged lack of sportsmanship.
New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs was one critic who told reporters that "Bundchen just needs to continue to be cute and shut up," before apologizing shortly after on ESPN.
"Given the fact that it's a colleague of mine's wife, I do apologize for saying that, because I shouldn't have said that," Jacobs said on "The Doug Gottlieb Show."
Despite the widespread media backlash Bundchen's fellow Victoria Secret model pal is another celebrity to have come to her defense.
"I think we should leave the girl alone," Adriana Lima told ABC News.
Although Trump defended Bundchen, he did not believe that the Patriots would win the next Super Bowl.
"I think the Giants will be back again next year. They have a great coach, they have a great team, they have a fantastic quarterback - I think they're gonna be back," Trump said.
