Donald Trump Wilmington, Ohio Speech: Trump Will Return to Ohio Thursday Fresh from Immigration Speech in Phoenix
The Republican presidential candidate will speak in front of a crisis-hit crowd in Wilmington. This is his sixth visit to the state.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will return to Ohio, but this time, will speak in front of a crowd at the Roberts Centre in Wilmington. The said rally will start at noontime. Trump is fresh from his sensational immigration speech in Phoenix, Arizona. In his Phoenix speech, he addressed his current stances on illegal immigrants in the U.S., discussed what his administration plans to do with illegal aliens with criminal records, and talked about how he plans to build the so-called wall along the borders of Mexico and the United States.
Rally in a crisis-hit city
Trump's hateful rhetoric regarding his different policies may not be the best tactic to use when he faces the crowd in Wilmington, says the chair of the Clinton County Democratic Party, Ann Reno. Ann Reno. Wilmington was one of the cities that were badly affected by the 2008 financial crisis. A number of shops and businesses had to close in the city, along with a DHL Express air-shipping hub. This left many people jobless and hopeless. But slowly, Wilmington has since recovered from the crisis.
Ohio Governor John Kasich refused to endorse Trump last year. Kasich spoke to his supporters at the Roberts Centre to stress his refusal to support the Republican nominee and to set Wilmington as an image of Ohio's financial recovery.
Trump's sixth visit in Ohio
Trump's Wilmington rally will be his sixth time to visit the swing state. Although he has been to Ohio many times to campaign, his campaign team supplied no details for this trip. A spokesman said in an email that they had no additional information to give about Trump's next rally.
Two free tickets for each attendee
According to a campaign release for the event, those who would like to attend the rally may register to get tickets. Only two free tickets will be given per mobile number. A link to the official registration page has been announced and the link points to the official Trump-Pence site. The registration form also said that all tickets are on a first come, first served basis.
Trump not welcome in Wilmington?
Reno said in a statement that they already know what Trump is going to say in his speech in Wilmington. The chairman added that they know that he would be back with his usual fear-mongering comments and hate-filled rallies. She revealed that this does not reflect the values of the city and this is not welcomed in Wilmington.
Donald Trump's Wilmington, OH rally will be on September 1 at 12 p.m. Full transcript of his speech will be available here.
