Donna Summer and 9/11 Attack Claims, Star Believed Attacks Were Against Christians? (VIDEO)
While many reports stated that Donna Summer had died at 63 of a long term cancer battle, the cause of Summer's cancer has recently come under question. One report charges that Summer believed she had contracted lung cancer as a result of 9/11 dust remains that was, according to her, meant to attack Christians.
Donna Summer was previously a noted breast cancer survivor, however TMZ reported that the star died after an ongoing battle with lung cancer. The star was however, apparently very silent about her battle with lung cancer.
While it was believed that Summer contracted lung cancer after maintaining a smoking habit for years, the pop star had previously charged that she believed the cancer was a direct result of the 9/11 debris following the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York.

Summer previously claimed that she had been living in a downtown New York City apartment near ground zero when the attacks occurred. According to TMZ, following the attacks, the star became "almost paranoid" about the "rancid odor" that followed the collapse of the buildings leaving standing dust that took days to clear.
"In the months and years following 9/11, Donna's feelings intensified. One source tells us when he was around Donna, she would constantly spray some sort of disinfectant in the air," TMZ reported.
Deney Terrio, the host of "Dance Fever," also reported that "she would hang silk sheets in her dressing room to prevent dust from coming in."
The most shocking charge that TMZ reports is that Summer actually believe the 9/11 events to be an attack on Christianity that was meant to make all Christians suffer.
"Donna, who was a fervent practicing Christian, believed 9/11 was an attack on Christianity and in some metaphysical way Christians like her were targets. She somehow felt that her illness was a byproduct of the attack," TMZ reported.
When Summer was later diagnosed with lung cancer and told that smoking was the culprit, the singer refused to accept it and insisted her illness was due to the 9/11 dust.
