Dougherty Gang Apprehended After 100 mph Car Chase
The three fugitive siblings of the Dougherty Gang are now in custody in Colorado following a 100 mph car chase that ended in a crash and shootout on Wednesday, police officials have reported.
The alleged gang includes Lee Grace, 29-years-old, and her brothers, Ryan, 21-years-old, and half-brother Dylan Dougherty, 26-years-old.
Pueblo County Sheriff Kirk Taylor said the trio was spotted at a Subway sandwich shop near Exit 74 on Interstate 25.

The siblings’ car crashed after troopers laid tire-puncturing stop-sticks on the road, said the State Patrol. The chase lasted about 20-miles and shots were fired, reported Taylor.
Deputies said the vehicle was going so fast that it ran off the side of the road, hit a guardrail and flipped, according to a KUSA News report. Lee Grace got out of the car and began shooting at police. She was shot in the leg by authorities, but the injury is not life threatening.
Lee and one of her brothers were captured immediately after the crash, but the second brother tried to run away. According to police, he was quickly apprehended.
Sheriff Kirk Taylor told NBC News that all three siblings were being treated at Spanish Peaks Regional Hospital in Walsenberg, Colorado – two were injured and the third was shot.
Police have been searching for the sibling gang since August 2, for the attempted murder of a policeman after allegedly firing at least 20 shots at Officer Kevin Widner, when he tried to pull them over for speeding in a residential neighborhood of Zephyrhills, Florida, USA Today has reported.
The trio, wearing masks, reportedly robbed a bank in Valdosta, Georgia, several hours after they fled.
The FBI said bank security cameras show one robber holding an AK-47 assault rifle, while another carried a machine pistol.
According to Colorado State Patrol, the Dougherty Gang will be booked into Pueblo County Jail.
