The past episode of the series made fans happy when they saw Charles and Elsie married. It proved to impress the fans of the beloved couple. They were then surprised by Branson and Sybil, who made a pivotal announcement. It was revealed that Branson will be staying in Downton for good.
Nevertheless, the series is expected to bring more drama as the season continues. It was reported that more exciting events will be taking place in the episodes to come. Apparently, Gwen, played by Rose Leslie, will be returning to Downton. It was said that she will be presenting herself as a new woman. She will not be recognized by most of the characters at first. However, it was stated that they will be happy to see her.

It was stated that the reason for her return will be because of Rosamund, played by Samantha Bond, and her intentions for Lady Edith, played by Laura Carmichael, to start her life as a trustee for a women's college. Since Gwen's husband has a position as a treasurer there as well, it was revealed that she will be helping Rosamund out.
In addition, another character will be bringing a happy occasion in an episode to come. Anna, played by Joanne Froggatt, will begin her pregnancy pains that will have Mary, played by Michelle Dockery, bringing her to a doctor in London.
The news will give Mr. Bates, played by Brendan Coyle, a big smile. However, it is not certain that all will be well when Anna begins to give birth. With that, the doctors are expected to do everything they can to save the baby.
