'Downton Abbey' season 6 spoilers: Daisy has learned to speak her mind!

The final season of the hit period drama "Downton Abbey" will see a different, or darker, side of Daisy (Sophie McShera).

According to McShera's interview with the Express, Daisy will "revolt." "She's not a rebel yet she's definitely becoming aware and becoming dissatisfied with what she's expected to be satisfied with. She suddenly opens her eyes that she should have more opportunities," the actress explained.

In the last season, viewers saw Daisy starting "to explore" other options. Miss Bunting (Daisy Lewis) helped Daisy to start seeking for a better future. She helped Daisy to start furthering her education, and gave the idea that spending her life at the Downton might not for her. This upcoming season, Daisy will be seen exploring that journey, and wanting more out of life.

The actress told Unreality TV that her character "gets to explore the modern times." "She is one of the first characters to sort of have an awakening and a realization that there is a whole world out there and not just inside the house," McShera added.

She now has to balance her life as a student, and also help Mr. Mason (Paul Copley) keep his farm. "She takes up the battle on his behalf in quite a silly way really, and she nearly ruins everything for him," the actress teased. Her now modern thinking has even changed her personality. She has learned to 'speak up', especially on Mr. Mason's defense, which will lead to an outburst. The usually timid servant will be highlighted on one of the scene in season 6. In the scene, I think I walk away after I've done it, and everyone looks at me, and I felt, like, 'Oh god!' Which is weird, because Daisy never does that, never speaks out in front of everyone," she said during an interview with the Telegraph UK. It is just unfortunate that Daisy will have to bring her "wild" side in the series' final season.

Downton Abbey season 6 will premiere on Jan. 3 next year, on PBS.
