Dr. James Dobson's 'Building a Family Legacy' Video Series Premiers in Churches Across the US
Dr. James Dobson and his son, Ryan, have collaborated on a new video series titled "Building a Family Legacy" that is being simulcast in churches across the U.S. through Oct. 5.
The series combines Dr. Dobson's classic Focus on the Family videos with four new films by him and Ryan. It also includes the new film, "Your Legacy," and is designed to equip parents and grandparents to "build a lasting legacy of faith in their families," notes the press release.
"It's harder now to raise kids than it's ever been because the culture is at war with families," Dr. Dobson said. "I feel 'Building a Family Legacy' contains the most important message of my career. There is nothing more important than parents passing on a generational legacy of faith and values to their children."
"Your Legacy" traces Dr. Dobson's own family history to showcase the difference praying families can make. It starts with the story of Dobson's great-grandfather whose daily prayers over a century ago effected his offspring for the next four generations and kept them in the faith," according to the film.
"Your Legacy explores the breathtaking implications of intentionally giving your children a heritage of faith," continued the release.
Dr. Dobson has written over 40 book including Dare to Discipline and The Strong-Willed Child. He is also regarded by many Christians as one of the nation's leading advocates for the importance of godly families.
His son, Ryan, is also a best-selling author, speaker and broadcast personality. He specializes in "calling people out of moral relativism and into the ultimate adventure of following Christ." He is also the vice president of Dr. James Dobson's Family Talk.
The father-and-son duo recently visited CP Voice to discuss all of their latest projects, which also include Dr. Dobson's book Your Legacy: The Greatest Gift and Ryan's book, Wanting to Believe: Faith, Family and Finding an Exceptional Life. The video will be out soon.
