'Dragon Ball FighterZ' Latest News: 'Dragon Ball Super' Characters to Be Added in Game

Bandai Namco is bringing three new characters to "Dragon Ball FighterZ," and all of them come straight from the currently airing "Dragon Ball Super." The latest issue of V-Jump magazine also had all the stats of Beerus, Hit and Goku Black as they join the roster.

Beerus is the God of Destruction, at least in the universe that Goku and the crew live in, and he has the stats to match. According to V-Jump via Gematsu, Beerus is ranked S for Power and Speed, and SS for Technique and Energy. Only his Reach is holding him back, at an A rank, but that is more than offset by his special moves.

He has a Meteor special called "God of Destruction's Judgment," which can be triggered by grabbing the opponent. Beerus then eliminates the opponent with an extremely powerful headshot, but setting up the conditions for this move can be tricky.

That's where the "Spheres of Destruction" technique comes in, as he generated spheres that can be placed almost anywhere to explode when the enemy touches them. This combo limits the areas where the opponent can fight in, negating any reach advantage they have.

Goku Black comes complete with his own Super Saiyan form exclusive to him, called the Rose form, according to Gamerant. He has a partner in Zamasu whom he can call in using special combo attacks, and even his Meteor special called "Work of the Gods" is a swarm attack.

Using his Meteor special, Goku Black creates several clones, and together they attack the enemy as he finishes the fight with his energy scythe and hand blade out.

Hit, as an assassin, has the "Time-Skip/Molotov" skill that can strike the opponent at extremely high speeds. His Meteor special is an extension of this, as his "I Continue to Grow" move sees him slowing time to a standstill as he rains down blows on the enemy.

The opponent feels all the accumulated impact of all the hits at once when time moves again, making it something of a finishing blow.

"Dragon Ball FighterZ" will be out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Jan. 26 in the U.S., Canada and Europe.
