'Dragon Ball FighterZ' News: Closed Beta Details Surface Online, Reveal More About Avatars, Replay Mode and Arena Matches

Closed beta will begin on Sept. 16

Closed beta testing for "Dragon Ball FighterZ" will get underway very soon, but for fans who simply cannot wait any longer, there are some new details that have popped up online serving to give them a better idea of what to expect.

Apparently, someone known only by the username "GabTom1226" managed to get into the beta and this individual shared a bunch of new details about several of the beta's offerings, Shonengamez.com reported.

First off, it was revealed that testers can apparently tinker with the avatars they will be using during the testing. Different members of the roster can be selected as avatars and players can also customize them.

Once players have settled on the avatar they want to use, they may then be able to check out some of the other elements of the closed beta such as Arena Match.

An Arena Match appears to essentially be an online match. Prior to one taking place, participants will apparently be allowed to select the members of their team. Arena Match is not just for battling too. If players just want to relax a bit, they can supposedly become a spectator and see other beta testers in battle.

Now, if one "Dragon Ball FighterZ" beta participant happens to have a particularly good Arena Match as a competitor, then this individual may also be able to relive the glory of that bout as well through the Replay Mode.

What is interesting about the Replay Mode is that it reportedly shows not just previous fights but also how the players entered commands during those. There are also stamps that can be used to personalize replays. Also, the Replay Mode that may be included in the closed beta could still be a little limited, with more features added once the game is officially released.

The "Dragon Ball FighterZ" closed beta will run from Sept. 16 to 18 and the game itself will be released sometime in February.
